So I am usually back home by 6pm, and am completely done for the day. Sitting in front of the computer from 9am-5pm is more draining than one may perceive.
I make sure to, without fail, spend at least an hour reenergizing myself.
First with some food hehe, and then by giving my whole self a nice scrub. Constantly taking care of your skin, body, hair and nails is the KEY way to slow down the aging process and is surprisingly therapeutic as well!
In this post, I am going to focus on STAGE 1 of my beauty regime- my face cleaning.
So I begin with removing all my makeup with some baby oil as opposed to an actual makeup remover. Since I have chemicals from all the cosmetics all over my face the whole day, I try and minimize their use in every which way I can when possible, and this is one way.
Next, I scrub my face with this “Let The Good Times Roll”, lush cleanser. This one is perfect for people with dry and sensitive skin like mine, because it focuses on cleaning and leaving your skin soft without being too harsh on it.
It’s main ingredients are maize flour, corn meal and cinnamon- so big bonus, it smells like desert.
This cost me $30 for the big pot, but you can get the smaller one for $21.
After rotating this scrub all over my face, in upward circular motions- which have been proven to be the best way to prevent wrinkles- I let it sink in for a couple of minutes, and then wash it off with some cool and refreshing water.
Right after this, I apply the “Perfectly balancing lavender cream” also by Lush. As the name would suggest, it has a lavender base which moisturizes and nourishes the skin.
This comes in one size, and cost me $25.
Do drop by LUSH, and find products that suit your skin type and preferences- they have literally everything for everyone!
See you tomorrow,
