Hi beautiful people!
So, here is the final look of my recent series!
I want to thank everyone for all the love that I got throughout this collaboration.
I put a lot of thought into each of my posts, as did the team I worked with to create these looks.
It always feels good to have your hard work appreciated! I was also pleasantly surprised to see how many generous people exist in our world- always ready to share so many compliments and positivity!
It’s back to the chalkboard for me, and I promise to keep fun content coming.
Please continue to send me all of your wonderful ideas, comments, thoughts, hellos- I appreciate every one of them.
Until my next post, I am leaving you all here with an interview with Athena, the FABULOUS jewelry designer for all the pieces featured in my looks!
Her collection works well for western and eastern looks, so do browse her page in case you were looking to vamp up your accessories.
What would you say your passion is and how does this relate to what you do?
Athena: My passion lies in the hidden treasures of Indian culture, history and the simplicities of our heritage. I have always been inspired by the tribal women in various villages from different states in India. The vibrant coloured clothing with excessive adore of antique silver jewelry became my own style of dressing before I began my own adventure exploring the idea to create a brand that not only provided unique statement jewelry but exposed our old heritage.
What inspired you to start your brand and what do you envision for the future?
Athena: My inspiration comes from Indian heritage mixed in with a dose of today’s trends to create exclusive unique statement jewelry for both Indian and Western styles. I envision Athena to bring in more hand-picked collections from different cultures and places in the world to create simple yet significant looks.
What advice would you give to young people who also want to start their own lines?
Athena: Be authentic. Bring a piece of yourself in everything you do and create more of what’s missing!
Who is your role model?
Athena: My mother. Her simplicity and strength to achieve such greatness with elegance in life is truly what Athena stands for.
What are one of the hardships you face in this industry and how do you overcome it?
Athena: Bringing in new content and posting on social media frequently! The industry and time we are in now comes with a lot of pressure to always stay engaged with your audience and to constantly bring in something new.
