Hi babes,
So Sundays, as we all know, exist for some rest and recreation time!
Other than lazing around, I make sure to take some time out to do some beauty and health care routines.
Something I really prioritize is skin care. I have extremely sensitive skin, which burns super easy and gets really dry if I don’t give it enough attention.
Over the years, I have found a routine which has allowed my skin to really flourish, and obviously I am going to share that with you…
Before I start, I would like to mention that I recently discovered a brand called Korres, and after trying a bunch of their products, I sincerely recommend them to you. They use 80% natural ingredients, and you can really feel that as you use them.
I have been using them over 3 weeks now, and plan on continuing to do so. In this article, I have listed my 4 favourite Korres products. You can buy them from Shoppers Drug Mart and beautyBOUTIQUE.ca.
-Drink tons of water: This is really hard for me, I don’t usually drink water unless I am dying of thirst. But I have learned to carry around water bottles with me, and that really reminds me to keep on sipping. I am always shocked by the glow I see on my skin during the weeks I am consistently drinking water.
-Figure out your skin type and cleanse appropriately: Make sure you look up which soaps are best for you skin type/ how often to exfoliate/ which masks you should use. I was exfoliating my skin too often I learned, and when I decreased that my skin got less flaky! I also use Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser– with Amaranth Seeds in it’s formula, your skin feels super cool and fresh.
-Take vitamins: I have been taking One A Day for Women for the last 3 months. These multivitamins have not only visibly improved my skin and hair, but have increased my energy levels and overall mood. If you are bad with taking pills, make sure to eat a balanced diet. You can use various websites, or even meet a nutritionist to ensure you are getting all your dietary needs.
-Always wash off your makeup: No matter how tired you may be, the chemicals in your cosmetics will clog up your pores and also stain your sheets! Just lay out your makeup remover by your sink, so it is super accessible and reminds you to wash up every night. Try using Korres 3 in 1 Cleansing, Toning and Eye Make-Up Removing Emulsion. Not only does it remove eye makeup thoroughly, but also nourishes and moisturizes your face!
-Use a toner: I really underestimated the value of this, but have quickly learned its importance. Toners remove any remaining dirt that your cleanser leaves behind, helps to restore the skin’s PH balance, and helps to even out any discolouration your skin may have. During the summer, my skin does get unevenly tanned which is extremely frustrating. I have started using Korres Wild Rose Brightening Targeted Tone Corrector, and with its enriched Vitamin C formula, I can already see the difference.
–Moisturize all day, everyday: I have made this a daily routine! In the morning, I always put on a sunblock or a moisturizer with at least 25 SPF, as my base before any makeup. During the night, after my shower I always put a cold cream on to my face, and then a body lotion all over my body. I am currently using Korres Jasmine Body Butter which smells like heaven, and also leaves your skin feeling super smooth and soft.
Give this all a try for a month ladies, and just see the change! You will be pleasantly surprised, I promise.
Hope you all have a great start to the week.
Love,
Tasha
